The Battery Management System (BMS) closely monitors and manages the state of charge and health of multiple battery strings. For large high-voltage battery packs, such as in electric vehicles, accurate monitoring of the parameters of each cell and the entire battery pack is critical to ensure maximum available capacity and safe and reliable operation. The quality of the battery management system directly affects the mileage an EV can travel per charge.
